What It Is

Insights (TM) is a tested-and-proven system for helping individuals and teams become more aware of how their own behaviours and communication style impacts others positively, as well as in ways that may unconsciously create obstacles to productivity. At the same time, Insights (TM) helps participants become more appreciative of others’ styles and needs. By taking the training together, teams also form a common language that allows them to communicate more effectively with each other as well as with internal and external stakeholders.

What It Does

The Insights Discovery Workshop has three objectives:

  1. UNDERSTAND YOURSELF — to learn how you may be seen by others, and to identify your strengths and areas for development
  2. UNDERSTAND OTHERS — to recognize your behavioural style and learn how to respond effectively to others’ needs
  3. ADAPT AND CONNECT — to meet the needs of others by adapting your behaviour.

What It Involves

In this one-day workshop*, participants experience:

  1. SELF-EXAMINATION — exploring your strengths, preferred communication styles, value to the team, and areas for development
  2. TEAM DISCOVERY — learning and valuing other team members’ communication preferences, identifying natural synergies and “rub points” within the team,
  3. RELATIONSHIP DEVELOPMENT — equipped with new insights, teams create strategies to leverage different styles to capitalize on individual strengths and begin addressing barriers to interpersonal effectiveness in supportive ways.

Summary

The workshop experience is positive, engaging and interactive. The Insights model is easy to follow: people relate to it and remember it. The Insights Discovery Workshop improves the fundamentals needed by any high-performance business team: self-awareness, appreciation for team members’ perspectives, and a common team language.
